Good Morning, Chicago Families!
The weather's getting (slightly) warmer. The mornings are getting lighter. Could it be that spring is actually here? Let's hope so.
Not much to update this week. You all know the drill by now. Open Plays on Wednesdays, another weekend Open Play coming on April 17 (thanks to those who came last weekend) and another Monday seminar coming in May. And don't forget, come on out to
Game Night (May 21), and register for the
5K/Walk. (We'll be starting a Chicago team soon; more instructions coming next week.)
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank a few people behind the scenes who are making everything happen at GiGi's Chicago. First, thanks to our literacy coordinators
Debby Hanrahan and
Rachel Burke (and
Jud Nudelman, who helps train our tutors). Without their tireless work, our program wouldn't be the success that it is. Also, a quick shout-out to our Drama Group leaders
Katie Yohe and
Mallory Schuh. They've done great things with this group, and we're always proud to share their accomplishments. Finally, I'd like to welcome
Sharyl Hanna as our volunteer coordinator. She's working to align our volunteer interest (which has been fantastic) with our needs.
And thank you to all of you for coming in, supporting the playhouse and working to increase awareness. (And for putting up with these crazy e-mails every week.)
